1. Who I Am
I’m Ian, a product leader building at the intersection of fintech, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence in Africa.
Over the years, I’ve led mobile banking revamps, built scalable digital products, improved checkout experiences in e-commerce, and launched platforms that move real money and serve real customers. I’ve worked across fintech, banking, and e-commerce, turning ideas into shipped products that generate measurable impact.
I am deeply curious about how great products are built and how African builders can compete globally without losing context.
2. Why Product Pulse Africa Exists
Product Pulse Africa exists to strengthen the builders shaping Africa’s digital future.
There is no shortage of information today. Especially in the age of AI.
What we lack is clear thinking, contextual application, and disciplined execution.
My mission is simple:
To create practical knowledge that empowers product builders on the continent with the tools, frameworks, and mindset required to build meaningful, scalable products.
This is not about hype.
It is about clarity, leverage, and long-term craft.
3. Who This Is For
Product Pulse Africa is for:
Product Managers who want sharper thinking and stronger execution
Product Engineers and Software Engineers who want to understand product strategy
Builders and Founders launching startups or internal tools
Operators in marketing, sales, and operations who want product-level clarity
Executives who want structured insight into product and AI
If you are building, influencing, or scaling a digital product in Africa, this is for you.
4. What You’ll Get
Here’s what you can expect:
Deep dives into product frameworks and decision-making
Clear breakdowns of AI tools and how to apply them practically
Playbooks you can actually use
Templates and structured resources
Case studies grounded in real execution
Tools built in public
Most importantly, you will see the thinking behind the building.
Because in this era, knowing how to think is more valuable than knowing how to prompt.
5. Building in Public
A core part of Product Pulse Africa is building in public.
Through Pulse AI Labs and other initiatives, I will document the process of:
Designing AI-assisted workflows
Building practical tools
Iterating on product ideas
Testing frameworks in real environments
You will not only see outcomes.
You will see trade-offs, constraints, and lessons.
That transparency is intentional.
6. The Long-Term Vision
The long-term vision is to create a trusted knowledge and tooling ecosystem for African product builders.
A place where serious builders come to think better, build faster, and operate with clarity.
Africa will produce world-class products.
The question is whether we build them deliberately.
